Brunswick Community Hospital to Host Free Seminar Featuring Dr. Edward Hayes
Supply, NC – On November 19, Edward Hayes, M.D., who is board certified in urological surgery, will share information and answer questions about two common conditions affecting both men and women – incontinence and overactive bladder. The seminar is part of Brunswick Community Hospital’s Focus on Health community lecture series.
Urinary incontinence is sometimes more simply known as leaky bladder, and the condition affects nearly 25 million Americans. Overactive bladder, also called urge incontinence, is caused by urinary muscle spasms that cause an urgency to urinate. At the Focus on Health seminar, Dr. Hayes will explain the two conditions and discuss treatment options for both.
The seminar will begin at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, at the Brunswick Electric Membership Corporation Community Room at 795 Ocean Highway. Light refreshments will be served.
Dr. Hayes received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed residencies at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, and at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Hayes’ office is located at 12 Medical Center Drive in Supply next to Brunswick Community Hospital.
Registration for the Focus on Health seminar on November 19 is required. Call (910) 755-1183 to register or for more information.
