Electronics Manufacturer to Bring 155 Jobs, $4.9 Million Investment to Durham County

Durham, NC – ACW Technology, an international manufacturer of digital, analog and radio frequency electronic devices, will open a new facility in Durham County.  The company plans to create 155 jobs and invest $4.9 million in Durham during the next three years.  The announcement was made possible in part by a $50,000 grant from the One North Carolina Fund.

Perdue said. “Our top business climate, skilled workforce and superb quality of life continue to attract successful, growing companies like this one.”

ACW Technology Inc. is the wholly owned U.S. subsidiary of ACW Technology Ltd., headquartered in England.  The company manufactures printed circuit boards and electronic systems for the commercial, aerospace and defense industries, and provides logistics, testing and repair facilities.

ACW Technology plans to open a Durham manufacturing facility where printed circuit boards will be assembled and placed into electronic devices.  While salaries will vary by job function, the new positions will pay an average annual wage of $33,457, not including benefits.”

The One NC Fund provides financial assistance, through local governments, to attract business projects that will stimulate economic activity and create new jobs in the state.  Companies receive no money up front and must meet job creation and investment performance standards to qualify for grant funds.  These grants also require and are contingent upon local matches.
