Golf Tournament to build a hospice care center in Brunswick County

Sponsors are needed for the Closer to Home Golf Classic on Thursday, May 6 at Cape Fear National at Brunswick Forest. Tournament sponsorship opportunities are available from $150 hole sponsor to $10,000 title sponsor. Proceeds benefit the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Foundation Closer to Home Capital Campaign to build a hospice care center in Brunswick County. To become a sponsor, contact Kelly Gaggin 910-796-7962.

The tournament features a shotgun start at noon, lunch, beverages provided by RA Jeffrey’s Distributing, great prizes including cars, silent auction, and WECT-TV media coverage. An awards ceremony and party with live entertainment will be held after the tournament. Entry fee is $600 per team. Extra tickets for the party are available for $35.

The Brunswick County hospice care center will offer medical and respite care in a comfortable, homelike environment closer to home. Louie Lewis donated 7.35 acres for the new 20,000-square-foot inpatient hospice facility just off Old Ocean Highway in Bolivia. To begin building the hospice care center, $3.5 million dollars must be raised.
