Business and Community Leaders Launch Public Phase of Cape Fear Future – ‘Passion Works’ Campaign

WILMINGTON, N.C. — The Passion Works Capital Campaign held the official public kick-off event for their fundraising efforts this morning at the Wilmington Convention Center.  Cape Fear Future (CFF) is the flagship initiative of the Wilmington Chamber that aims to raise $1 Million over the course of a five-year strategic action plan. The purpose of this effort is to increase the number of higher wage jobs (knowledge sector economy) in order to foster economic growth and ensure the prosperity of the region. The initiative will leverage existing assets to build a community where knowledge sector workers would choose to live, work and play.

North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce releases results of 2011 Citizen Survey

LELAND, N.C. — The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce recently conducted an online citizen survey to obtain citizens’ input and feedback on issues that impact northern Brunswick County, including the state of the economy, the proposed port in Southport, residents’ shopping habits and the greatest challenges facing northern Brunswick County.  A total of 237 people completed the survey.

LELAND, NC – The North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce is conducting an online survey to obtain citizens’ input and feedback on the economy and a variety of other issues that impact northern Brunswick County.  All responses will be kept anonymous.  Anyone who lives, works or does business in northern Brunswick County is invited to take the survey, which can be accessed via the Chamber’s website at http://www.nbchamberofcommerce.com or by clicking here.  The survey will be accessible through April 15.
