Raleigh-based Shanahan Law Group merges with Nelson Mullins: Shanahan Law Group PLLC, a prominent business law firm in Raleigh, has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough as of Dec. 1. Former federal prosecutor and four-term Raleigh City Councilman Kieran J. Shanahan founded Shanahan Law Group in 2001. Including Shanahan, nine attorneys and three paralegals from SLG made the transition to Nelson Mullins, whose Raleigh office now has a roster of 30 attorneys. Click for more.
Inc. Magazine recognizes SAS with Best In Business award: Cary-based SAS has been awarded the gold medal in the software industry category as part of Inc.’s inaugural Best in Business list, which celebrates companies making the biggest impact on their communities, their industries, the environment or society as a whole. SAS was recognized for its COVID-19 analytics response, efforts assisting hospitals and governments around the world, as well as its deforestation identification project. SAS’ work was showcased among Five of the Most Meaningful Business Moments of 2020.
Honeywell’s New Advanced Technology Detects Airborne particles, Allergens and Spores In Homes and Buildings: Charlotte-based Honeywell recently announced a new airborne particle analyzer that a press release says “uses artificial intelligence and cloud computing to enable HVAC service providers and environmental testing professionals to better inform home and building owners of the quantity and type of particles present in the air.” Also according to the release, the Honeywell Air Detective allows HVAC service providers and environmental testing professionals to evaluate indoor air quality in near real-time with an easy-to-use mobile app that can be accessed on a tablet or emailed directly to the homeowner. John Ferguson named CEO of Morrisville-based TBM Consulting: John Ferguson has been named Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TBM Consulting Group. Ferguson joined TBM in 2019 and currently serves at the Vice President of International Operations. He will succeed Bill Remy, who is retiring and will remain on the TBM Board of Directors. The official leadership transition will take place on January 19, 2021. TBM Consulting Group is a team of global manufacturing operations and supply chain consultants, helping clients leverage operational excellence, enabling technologies, and lean process rigor for dramatically enhancing operational speed.
