Wilmington, NC – The Cape Fear Fair and Expo recently awarded over $11,000 to the Cape Fear Community College Foundation to be used for student scholarships.

For every ticket purchased at the Cape Fear Fair and Expo, the group donates a dollar to its scholarship fund. Over the past several years, CFCC students have received over $46,000 in scholarship awards from the Cape Fear Fair and Expo.

“For decades, the Cape Fear Fair and Expo has brought our community together, and their generous spirit continues to impact our community year-round,” said CFCC Vice President of Advancement and the Arts Shane Fernando. “Their support makes such an impact for students who are pursuing an education to make a better life for themselves and their families.”

“The Cape Fear Fair and Expo has been a tremendous supporter of Cape Fear Community College for years.   We appreciate their longstanding commitment to our students and our community,” said CFCC President Jim Morton. “Their investment in the lives of CFCC students will resonate in the Cape Fear region for years to come.”
