COVID-19 has had a profound impact on the world and the economy. UNCW’s Interdisciplinary Research Community in International Trade and Exchange and the Office of Research and Innovation will explore the effects during “COVID-19 and the Global Economy: A (Virtual) Roundtable, Discussion and Q&A with UNCW Faculty” at 3:30 p.m. on April 15.
The discussion will cover the pandemic’s impacts on the supply chain; financial markets; global migration and movement; as well as “economic oddities” of the pandemic recession.
Panelists include faculty members Drew Rosen and Rebecca Scott, Congdon School of Supply Chain Management; Cetin Ciner, economics and finance; Julia Morris, international studies; and Adam Jones, chair of economics and finance. The moderators will be Mark Spaulding, professor of history, and Pete Schuhmann, professor of economics and finance.
The event, which will be held via Zoom, is free and open to students, faculty, staff and the public. A Q&A session will follow. Registration is not required.
