WILMINGTON, NC – Lala & Elm, located at 1437 Military Cutoff Road, Suite 105, Wilmington, will hold its Grand Opening July 23 and 24. The first 50 customers will receive a beauty bag as a gift with purchase for purchases over $50. The beauty bag will contain samples from their many product lines.
The store, owned by Wilmington native, Erica Mearns and daughters Alexis and Claire, will focus on personal care products that are pure and cruelty free and not tested on animals.
Lala & Elm has partnered with TerraCycle as a Zero Waste Box locations where customers can recycle used beauty products. They are using recycled and recyclable gift bags and wrapping paper as well as reusable shopping bags. Gift tags are printed on seed paper which can be planted. Lala & Elm has also partnered with Grace Holistic Skincare, an experienced and knowledgeable holistic skincare esthetician. Alexis and Claire have teamed up to form a non-profit Coastal Creature Mission which will focus on educating consumers on how choices in personal care products affect our oceans, efforts that can improve the effects, as well as coordinating beach sweeps. Lala and Elm will offer private shopping to consumers and work with them to donate a portion of after hours proceeds to non-profit charities. They will also offer masterclasses meeting with brand owners and experts. The boutique will also feature a customer rewards program, the Ocean Club with various levels of benefits as well as same day delivery within New Hanover County to Ocean Club members.
The boutique will carry around 50 different product brands including Innersense, 27 Rosiers, Tammy Fender, Tata Harper, Jenny Patinkin, Osmia and Vapour. Many of the brands are featured in Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus and others. In addition Lala & Elm will also feature accessories ranging from a sustainable swimwear line to self-purifying water bottles, sustainably made jewelry as well as artwork by local photographer Sean Ruttkay.
